“I was born into cabinetry.â€
In 1988, LEGNO's founder was born alongside the woodworking shop his parents were building in a modest village in southern Brazil. Home and factory were essentially the same place.
He grew up among cabinetmakers, tools and the daily rhythm of production—sometimes learning, sometimes getting in the way exactly as a child turns a living room upside down. As a teenager, he formally joined his parents and never left the industry.
Over the years, the family business grew from a small workshop into one of Brazil's established suppliers of custom furniture for retailers across the country. Searching for the next opportunity, the family discovered the American market and brought decades of experience, technology and the determination to prosper in the United States.
Today, LEGNO remains a family company. Its founder, his wife and their three children are building the company's next chapter in America—continuing a story that began one generation earlier.
